Step 6: Find the hex character you wish to insert, and left click on it.  The hex character will be inserted where the cursor is, but will not overwrite the characters that are there.  step7.jpg (55879 bytes)

Step 7: save again once hexing has been completed. step8.jpg (78486 bytes)

Step 8: As you make more callsigns, you'll want to save each of them to a different file.  To start, right click on a sav file, in this example, raptor, and click "Duplicate".  step9.jpg (23711 bytes)

Step 9: Once duplicated, you will most likely want to rename this file. Right click on the file you want to rename, and select "Rename".  The filename will become an edit box where you can change the name.   step10.jpg (27156 bytes)

Loading into F-22 Raptor

When F-22 Raptor loads, it only uses one sav file: raptor.sav.  If your file is not raptor.sav, you will have to load the information from that sav file into raptor.sav.  Right click the file you wish to load, click "Load into F-22 Raptor" and all the settings in that file will be in your raptor.sav file.

Copying and Pasting to SAV Editor

If someone sends you a name or squadron that's hexed on icq, you can easily copy and paste it into SAV Editor.  You have to hilight the text, copy it into the clipboard.

Open up SAV Editor and click in the edit box (either callsign, squadron, etc) where you wish to place the copied text.  Right click and select Paste.  It inserts the text that you copied earlier.

Once copied, the text will be entered into the clipboard useable by any window or used again in SAV Editor.

To use the text copied, simply left click on the window you wish to insert the copied text.  Right click in the window, select "Paste".
